[Movie] Guacamotion

I ran into Asli Sevinc last night at the ITP Winter Show, and she reminded me that I never posted our Guacamotion Stop Motion Video which Marco Castro and I did for our “Methods of Motion” class.  She was looking for it in order to figure out how to make Guacamole.  Here it is – Enjoy!

[mom] Sketchbooks Final

I decided to do the remainder of the required sketches digitally with the purpose of improving my skills using the wacom tablet.  I have found the drawing functionality in Flash to be the easiest out of the available Adobe products.  I like the simple things you can do with straight lines (stretches and curves) and the simplified interface.  I simply created the drawing in the .fla and then exported it as an image.
In most cases, I found an image on the internets, imported it to the stage as one layer and then traced it over in another layer, then added my own color in yet another layer. I decided to get a little “cheeky” with some of the themes, just to keep it interesting…

I hope my instructor doesn’t mind that I put his picture under the context of “strange looking people.” But to be fair, I put my face in there, too… This was fun, and would have been more fun if I hadn’t waited until the last minute to do it. Alas, c’est la vie.

Here are the sketches organized by theme.
